Applications

These three zoning amendment applications have been appealed to the Ontario Municipal Board.  All three were the subject of community consultation meetings in 2007 and earlier in 2008, however the design of these applications has changed since they were originally submitted.  The City would like to hear your comments on the new designs and building massing.

1181 Queen Street West (Baywood  Homes, Page + Steele Architects)

10 storey building located on the south side of Queen Street West at Gladstone Avenue.  The building is a "flatiron" shape to respond to the space of the site, and the ground floor will be used for non-residential uses. (91 residential units)

1093 Queen Street West (Baywood Homes, Page + Steele Architects)

9 storey building with a 2-story podium adjacent to the historic library on Queen, and a 4-storey portion at the north east corner to reflect the Great Hall across Dovercourt Road  Non-residential uses occupy the ground and second floors. (88 units)

2 Gladstone Avenue (Streetcar Developments, TACT Design)

8 story building at the northwest corner of Gladstone and Queen.  The building is setback from the corner and there is a stepback above the 4th floor along Gladstone.   Non-residential uses will occupy the ground floor. (50 residential units)

Purpose of the Meeting

The meeting will provide an opportunity for the community to have input on these projects, view the plans, and ask questions.  If you cannot attend the meeting, you can still make your views known by sending a fax to 416-392-1330 or by writing to
